Symbiotic Resonance β Chapter I
Before Us is an immersive audio-visual installation exploring the sonic memory of Earth's earliest lifeforms. Created during my Nubia Labs artist residency at Espronceda Institute of Art & Culture in Barcelona, the work traces a line between deep time and present breath β a space where ancient microbial rhythms meet modern sound design.
As the first chapter in the Symbiotic Resonance series, Before Us sets the foundation for a growing body of work that listens to the hidden forces shaping life on Earth. Inspired by microbial symbiosis, atmospheric evolution, and the quiet labour of ancient organisms, this project invites audiences to attune to the life that came long before our own β and still pulses beneath us.
The installation integrates Touch Designer, Generative AI, Ableton Live, and bacterial cultures algorithms to create a living, evolving experience that blurs the boundaries between art, science, and technology.

This playlist invites you into the hidden world of microscopic life β the invisible architects who shaped our atmosphere long before we arrived. Each track is a meditation on their silent labour: the oxygenators, the photosynthesizers, the quiet builders of balance.
Through evolving textures, submerged harmonies, and organic pulses, Before Us becomes a space to listen deeply β to the life that made life possible.
